Allye Energy: smarter battery storage without fuses and relays
Allye builds intelligent battery storage from second-life EV packs. Hardwire PDMs now protect and control the circuits inside every MAX unit, and report back over CAN.

Control of several circuits inside each battery module
The challenge
Allye’s MAX units help commercial and industrial sites deal with grid limits. They can run on or off grid, and each battery pack works independently, in parallel on a shared AC bus.
Bulky fuse and relay setups added complexity and maintenance. Allye needed something compact that could switch and protect several circuits per pack precisely, and share live data with its own control software.
The solution
Hardwire PDMs replace the fuse and relay system with a fully electronic one, built into each MAX unit.
- Electronic circuit protection and switching in place of physical fuses and relays
- CAN bus link into Allye’s battery management system for live monitoring and diagnostics
- Compact, modular units that simplify installation and wiring

The results
Allye has a simpler electrical design inside each unit, with fewer parts to maintain. Because every circuit reports over CAN, its software can monitor and manage each battery pack in real time, improving both performance and safety.
