Motorsport & Custom Cars
Programmable power distribution, protection and logging for race cars and custom builds.
The challenge
One electrical fault can end a race.
Race and custom cars pack a lot of electrical systems into very little space and weight.
Race-ending failures
A blown fuse or failed relay can put a car out of a session or a race.
Weight and complex wiring
Fuse and relay boards can make looms harder to change and diagnose.
Limited data
Without circuit-level logs, electrical issues can be hard to diagnose between sessions.
How Hardwire helps
Programmable power distribution for race and custom cars.
Configurable protection
Electronic protection on each output, set to suit each load, cable and connector.
Fewer relays
Relay and fuse functions move into one module; check the net installed weight.
Logged data
Current data and configured logs from connected outputs, read locally; live data can also be shared over CAN.
Programmable logic
Control logic configured in software, within the module’s inputs and outputs.
Typical applications
Where it’s used on the vehicle.
Selected 12/24 V loads within each output’s current and inrush limits. Starter solenoids are controlled only where engineered, and ECU and ignition interfaces are confirmed for each build.
Lighting
Headlights, brake lights and indicators.
Fuel pumps
Lift and main pumps, with priming logic.
Cooling fans
Fans and water pumps, staged on temperature.
Data & telemetry
Dash, logger and ECU supplies.
Starter-solenoid control, where engineered
Solenoid control only, not starter-motor current.
Auxiliary power
Wipers, horns, heated screens and accessories.
